Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP) has an important role in the history of conservation in Indonesia. Defined as a national park in 1980. With the vast 21,975 hectares, this National Park area is covered by tropical rainforest mountains, is only 2 hours (100 km) from Jakarta and you can easily access with public transportation or with travel agent. In TNGP forest areas, you can be found “the giants” Rasamala, “the hunter of insects” or IN PLANTS (Nephentes spp); a variety of forest orchids, and even some plant species that have not been scientifically recognized names, such as mushrooms that glow. Besides the uniqueness plant, TNGP area also the habitat of many wildlife species, such as a giant beetle, a type of beetle, more than 100 species of mammals such as Deer, Pelanduk, Coyote, Leopards, Skunk, etc., as well as 250 species of birds.
